- Check your bank statement to see if the payment was processed by your bank. If your bank has a record of the purchase, but it’s not appearing on HDG, check to see if you have a different HDG account.

Q: My country has a different currency than Euros. How can I pay?
A: If you live in a country where Euros are not used, you can still pay for your course. Please note that we can only accept payments made in Euros.
If you decide to pay using PayPal, then the PayPal facility will automatically calculate the currency conversion amount for you when transferring the payment.
If you are paying via a bank transfer, you must ensure that you send the correct amount of money in Euros. You can see a currency converter to check the equivalent amount of Euros in your local currency. If you wish to use a currency converter, please click here.
Q: When will I get my invoice?
A: You will get your invoice in email within 48 hours after we received your payment.

Take the Final test (if any)
You can take or re-take the final test anytime you want, but we require scores of 70% or over to pass. Once you have passed all the tests of your course, you are officially a certified HDG graduate!
Get your Certificate or Diplom (if provided)
Once you have completed your course, you can download your certificate or diplom immediately.

A: In the present, HDG eAcademy is available in two languages: English and German. Q: English is not my first language; can I still participate?
A: HDG courses are designed by using simple, understandable language. It is up to you to determine your comfort level with the English language if you wish to take this course.
Q: In how much time do I have to complete a course?
A: It depends on the type, of course, you are attending. Typically you have 1 month to complete a course. Please see “Access time” in the description of the relevant course.
Q: How long will it take to complete a course?
A: The average time to complete a course can be found on the course fact sheet of the relevant course (“Study time”).
Q: Can I renew a course if I needed more time to complete?
A: Yes. You may easily renew your subscription for a course for another term for an extra fee and continue the course from where you left off. Please contact us on our contact form for a renewal.
Q: How do I register for a course?
A: After you clicked on the “Book course” button you will be asked to fill out a form with your payment Information.
Q: What if I have not received the confirmation email?
A: Please make sure that your email service provider is not blocking our emails, and you are not using an email filtration system. You can also check if our email landed in your junk or spam folders.
Q: When does a course start?
A: In case of Paypal or credit card payments: immediately. In case of bank transfer: as soon as we received your payment we send you your login details and you can start your course right away.

- Certificate – to fully complete a self-paced course, you must study all sections of the course and pass the final tests
- Diploma – only for specific courses available

A: You will see a “download certificate” button at the end of the course, after passing the final test.
Q: Will my name appear on the certificate?
A: Yes. Your name will appear on any certificate exactly as it appears in your profile (registration). If you receive a certificate and want to update your name, an additional cost may be involved. Please contact us on our Feedback form.
Q: Can I download my complete course?
A: No. You can only download specific course material, available after you started your course.
Q: Do I need to buy any textbooks or additional learning material?
A: No. All learning material is included in the course price and available after you started your course.
Q: Will I get further recommendations if I want to dig deeper into a subject?
A: Yes. We will recommend additional reading materials or additional courses to purchase – these materials are optional and you are not required to buy them to complete the course.
Q: Is It Possible to learn dog grooming online?
A: Of course it is! Our courses will guide you through all the theory and hands-on skills, which you need in real-life scenarios. Our students find the flexibility of an at-home course much easier to fit in with their lifestyle, and prefer learning at home vs. having to go to a physical location.

Q: I am not able to complete the course due to technical issues. What can I do?
A: Delay in completion of the course may happen due to various reasons. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Check your Internet connection.
- Delete browser cookies.
- Update the Flash Player.
- Check if scripting enabled
- Check if pop-up windows allowed
- Check if cookies enabled
- Allow scripted windows to prompt for information enabled
- Update your browser to the latest version. Particularly Internet Explorer (IE 7 or higher) and Firefox (3.x or higher).
- Make sure you’re using a supported and updated device.
- If you are using Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > switch to the “Advanced” Tab > scroll down to the “Multimedia” sub-heading > make sure the box next to “Play sounds in web pages” is checked > Click “ok” > Restart Internet Explorer and test to see if the audio plays.

What does ‘self-paced’ mean?
‘Self-paced’ means you go at your own pace. When you take a self-paced, online course then you complete the lessons, assignments, exams, and other class activities when you have time and on your own time. You still need to complete the course within the access time, however, when you decide to complete the course objectives within the Access time is entirely up to you.
What does ‘instructor support’ mean?
‘Instructor-support’ means that there is an instructor in the course that will monitor your work, review and assess your submissions, and be available to answer any questions or concerns throughout the course by email.
